The Controller is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s accounting and financial reporting functions. This role ensures the accuracy of financial data, compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and the development of efficient processes and systems to support the company’s financial health. The Controller provides leadership to the accounting team and partners closely with executive management to support strategic decision-making.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and other applicable financial laws.
- Maintain internal controls and safeguard company assets.
- Manage the annual audit and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and systems improvements.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses; provide insight into financial performance.
- Monitor cash flow, banking relationships, and treasury functions.
- Support strategic initiatives through financial modeling and scenario planning.
- Mentor, develop, and manage accounting staff to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Assist CFO in various M&A duties from time to time including due diligence, modeling, etc. and prepare and maintain acquisition entries and books and records when relevant
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA strongly preferred).
- 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems and financial reporting tools.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Physical Requirements:
Occasional periods of walking, sitting, rotation, and reaching. Occasionally lifting up to 5 lbs.
