About the positionThe Customer Service Agent, Charter Operations (Charter Specialist) provides day to day assistance with the flights for various clients to and from varied sites.
Reporting to: Manager, Charter Operations.
*Non-Bargaining
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must be able to perform, but not be limited to, the following duties and responsibilities:
- Check-in and board passengers with the utmost efficiency and professionalism;
- Provide administrative support prior to and after arrivals and departures;
- Create and make changes to passenger reservations;
- Answer radio calls from flight crew and enter info into flight tracking system for arrival and departure times, doors closures, airborne time, etc. Assist crew with requests for air stairs, GPUs and other requests as required;
- Collaboration with Account Managers and Operations Control Centre to manage charter operations;
- Provide assistance to Charter Coordinators for the set up and execution of ADHOC Charters;
- Liaise with Operations Control Centre; charter customers; and sub-contractors as required;
- Work collaboratively with team members to assist with irregular operations and recovery as required;
- Actively participate in the companys safety management systems program and demonstrate knowledge of employee responsibilities regarding safety;
- Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Include, but not limited to, the following minimum skills and qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent related work experience;
- One (1) year of customer service experience;
- Computer knowledge and reservation system experience a definite asset;
- Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision or direction;
- Excellent interpersonal skills including oral and written communication;
- Previous experience and/or knowledge of airline operations is considered an asset;
- Proven ability to effectively handle diverse and challenging situations with poise and diplomacy;
- Ability to manage priorities and conflicting demands;
- Well organized and detail orientated;
- Must be available for shift work (includes weekends, nights, statutory holidays);
- Must be able to continuously lift up to 45lbs;
- Ability to communicate in Inuktitut a definite asset;
- Ability to obtain a Restricted Operator Certificate With Aeronautical Qualifications (ROC-A);
- Ability to obtain and retain an Airport Restricted Area Identity Card in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada.
