The Data Entry Operator I supports the Clothing Initial Issue Point (CIIP) by entering and maintaining accurate data related to inventory, personnel, and logistics operations. This role ensures timely and precise data input into Army logistics systems to support the outfitting of soldiers with required gear.
Responsibilities
- Operate keyboard-controlled data entry devices (e.g., computer, barcode scanners) to input and update data into Army logistics systems.
- Transcribe source documents into digital formats suitable for processing and reporting.
- Verify accuracy of data before entry and correct errors as needed.
- Maintain logs of activities and completed work.
- Assist with inventory tracking and reconciliation.
- Coordinate with warehouse and supply personnel to ensure data reflects real-time inventory status.
- Follow all security and confidentiality protocols for handling government data.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 6 months to 1 year of data entry or administrative experience, preferably in a logistics or military environment.
- Familiarity with Army logistics systems (e.g., GCSS-Army) is a plus.
- Must possess and continuously maintain a current state drivers license.
- Must receive a favorable background check and drug testing results.
- Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) to obtain a CAC.
