- At least 3 years of recent corporate experience, preferably within the aerospace industry, with a strong understanding of DoD procurement processes and company purchasing policies.
- Experience in logistics and procurement support, including technical data, packaging, storage, and transportation.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) and proficient in Costpoint for generating and processing procurement requests.
- Proven communication skills across multiple platforms (email, phone, Teams) with the ability to respond effectively to supplier inquiries.
- Highly motivated, independent, and organized, able to manage competing priorities while maintaining accurate documentation.
- Ability to interpret procurement packages, conduct market research, and analyze vendor quotes to align with program needs and cost objectives.
- General understanding of contract interpretation within consulting or service agreements.
- Experience processing purchase requisitions, updating order status, and supporting project and program managers with related tasks.
- Familiarity with Costpoint purchasing systems and compliance requirements, and ability to support internal and external audits.
- Competence in reconciling payments, allocating purchases, and keeping detailed meeting minutes and follow-up notes.
- High-energy, results-oriented demeanor with a strong ability to work independently under deadline pressures.
Preferred Skills:
- Hands-on experience and efficiency with Costpoint.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of the Marine Aviation Supply Specialist class or US Navy equivalent is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer (approximately 6 to 8 hours per day).
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally, as needed for office or supply-related tasks.
