What are your contributions to the team?
- Ensure our operations comply with legal regulatory standards, procedures, and policies, in particular with FAR/DFARS, Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
- Monitor regulatory changes, assessing their impact, and implementing necessary compliance policies and procedures.
- Conduct internal compliance audits, prepare detailed reports for management, and collaborate with external auditors and regulatory agencies as needed.
- Maintain and organize accurate records of compliance activities, audit findings, and regulatory changes, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
- Provide training and guidance to internal teams on compliance with FAR/DFARS and government terminology and requirements.
- Serve as the contact for compliance-related inquiries, offering advice and resolution on regulatory issues.
- Identify and address compliance risks, research disputes, and evaluate the effectiveness of compliance controls and processes.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in government compliance.
- Recommend improvements to compliance processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Create Policies and Procedures governing compliance needs as required and ensure their implementation.
How to thrive in this role?
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in compliance or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS, EAR and ITAR regulations and their application in government contracts.
- Experience in the Aerospace or Defense sector is an advantage
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to synthesize information for executive level briefings and recommendations
- Ability to interpret complex regulations and contract terms.
- Detail-oriented with strong record-keeping and documentation abilities.
You may be required to travel domestically and internationally.
