Electrical Systems Engineer III
Job Description:

Location: Twinsburg, Ohio

The Electrical Systems Engineer III leads the design, development, and testing of cutting-edge electrical power generation, power conversion, electrical systems controllers, and engine starter systems for commercial and military fixed-wing aircraft and rotorcraft. In this role, the individual drives innovation, ensures alignment with regulatory and SAFRAN standards, and provides strategic technical leadership across cross-functional teams. Serving as the primary technical point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, this position plays a key role in shaping program success and advancing the organizations engineering capabilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•Oversees the design and development of electrical power generation systems and related components.
•Leads and coordinates a team of engineers to execute the projects, ensuring technical excellence, quality, and adherence to timelines.
•Ensures cross-functional coordination and communication among teams, including design, analysis, manufacturing, and testing.
•Provides mentorship and guidance to engineering staff, fostering professional growth and innovation.
•Ensures that designs meet regulatory requirements, safety standards, and customer specifications.
•Lead the development of engineering solutions to complex challenges.
•Oversees the development and execution of testing protocols to validate systems and components, analyzes test data, identifies issues, and implements corrective actions as necessary to meet performance and safety requirements.
•Identifies and assesses technical risks and ensures that appropriate mitigation strategies are in place.
•Serves as the primary technical point of contact between engineering teams, stakeholders, and customers, presents and provides updates on engineering solutions
•Travel requirements: Occasionally be required to travel, both domestically in the United States and internationally (less 10)
•Adhere to safe work practices and contributes to the evolution of the health, safety, and environmental program and culture
•Other duties may be assigned
Job Requirements:

Education and/or Experience:
•Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
•10+ years in aerospace engineering, with a strong track record of technical leadership.

Candidate Skills & Requirements:
•Experience with systems engineering involving multi-discipline design teams and products in a regulated environment
•Experience with ARP4754A, RTCA/DO-254, RTCA/DO-178C, and/or other regulated processes as related to electronic equipment for use in an aerospace environment
•In-depth knowledge of aerospace design, manufacturing, and testing processes.
•Strong understanding of regulatory standards and compliance requirements (e.g., FAA, EASA).
•Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
•Communication, organizational, and project management skills.
•Ability to think strategically and manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects.

Preferred Skills:
•Experience in systems engineering of electrical systems for use in aerospace
•Experience in requirements management systems such as Windchill RV&S, IBM Rational DOORS, or similar
•Experience with aerospace software tools such as CATIA, SolidWorks, or similar.
•Experience in Model-Based Design (MBD) for simulating and validating system architectures, control strategies, and dynamic behavior across multidisciplinary engineering domains.
