Shape Aerospace Innovation with Every Tool You EngineerPDS Tech Commercial is seeking a forward-thinking Equipment & Tool Engineer to support our clients cutting-edge fabrication efforts in Auburn, WA. As part of the Production Engineering team, you’ll help drive innovation, safety, and efficiency by supporting new and existing electrical and control systems that directly impact aerospace production. This is your opportunity to combine hands-on technical expertise with process-driven problem solving in one of the most dynamic industries on the planet.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
What You’ll Be DoingIn this electrical/controls-focused role, you’ll be working at the intersection of design and manufacturing to optimize tooling systems and drive improvements across the production line. Your daily responsibilities include:
Designing, developing, and improving complex equipment concepts to meet production system needs
Reviewing electrical schematics and control panel designs
Troubleshooting issues related to quality, safety, and performance
Supporting automated system implementation and modifications
Managing technical projects from bid specification through commissioning
Ensuring all equipment meets regulatory, safety, and ergonomic standards
Collaborating directly with mechanics, safety, and equipment services teams on the production floor
Making data-driven decisions on asset disposition and system improvements
Qualifications We’re Looking ForRequired:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Proven experience in reviewing schematics, system design, and control panel implementation
Strong interpersonal skills with a hands-on, collaborative approach
Desire to work on-site, directly supporting production operations
Preferred:
2+ years of project management experience in technical environments
Familiarity with Java, SQL, or similar programming languages
1+ years of experience with electrical system design standards
Experience with robotics and automation systems
High adaptability and eagerness to work in a fast-paced environment

Pay Details: $50.98 to $62.57 per hour
