Summary:
•tThe individual(s) will be responsible for leading technical assignments to support production, design, test and other engineering activities. Supporting the production line, Testing equipment(setup, support and improvement) for MRO(Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul) product; encompassing aircraft power generation and power distribution components.
Job Location: Sarasota, FL.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
•tAdvise, direct, and train MRO engineers and personnel in repair and test techniques/methods on behalf of the repair station per Title 14 CFR Parts 21, 43, 121 and 145.
•tReview maintenance manuals and related documents to establish repair capabilities per the applicable product standard, FAA or EASA regulation and the established technical evaluation procedures.
•tDevelop or guide in the development of procedures for repair and testing. Documentation to be used by Operations personnel.
•tWork closely with Operations and Quality to ensure repair and testing processes are performed in accordance with Safran Quality documents and return to service criteria.
•tDesign, modify, and prototype tooling required for use in the maintenance and repair of aircraft electromechanical and hydraulic products.
•tSpecify, develop and modification of test equipment for use on various aircraft components.
•tContinuously improve production efficiency and quality to meet key metrics.
•tDraft and assist in creating major repairs with DER and PMA submittals.
•tCommunicate technical data issues to the design authority and ensure updates are completed.
•tWork seamlessly with offsite engineering team for support and approval when necessary.
•tPerform other duties as assigned.
•tMentor interns and new engineers in all aspects of this position.
•tRegular, predictable attendance is required.
•tMust be willing to work overtime as necessary.
Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
•\tBachelor's Degree (or higher) in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical or a related Engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
•\tMinimum 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment working as an engineer in a regulated industry.
•\tExperience and hands-on capability with troubleshooting and solving technical problems related to manufacturing and assembly defects
•\tSelf-starter, drive for excellence and good organizational skills
•\tExperience with basic tooling including measuring equipment, drawing interpretation and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
•\tExperience with SolidWorks or equivalent CAD package
•\tAbility to collect and interpret data necessary for problem solving.
•\tBroad knowledge of fabrication, assembly and test processes, tooling, and equipment.
•\tAbility to provide component, assembly, tooling, and equipment cost estimates.
•\tStrong communication skills (verbal, written, and computer).
•\tAbility to interpret complex information and convey a simplified message to team members of varying technical expertise
•\tStrong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
•\tAbility to handle multiple projects with conflicting schedules and priorities while maintaining cross-organizational support to complete tasks.
•\tUnderstands electrical theory as it relates to product requirements
•\tGood presentation skills.
•\tEffective project management skills.
•\tExcellent time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
•\tMaster's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution and 4+years of experience working as engineer in aerospace industry
•\tProficient Understanding of electrical design, testing, and troubleshooting a plus
•\tExperience with PTC CREO, CATIA, SolidWorks, Configuration Control, PLM system, SAP.
•\tFluent French and/or Spanish
