The Upholstery Tech I is an entry-level role responsible for fabricating and installing upholstery, cover panels, carpets, and other aircraft interior components in accordance with engineering drawings, customer specifications, FAA requirements, and standards. Work is performed under moderate supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform upholstery tasks following design, engineering, FAA, and specifications.
- Fit and install cabin headliners, upper/lower sidewalls, hatch panels, windows, bulkheads, and interior panels.
- Cut, surge, create patterns for, and install carpets per design drawings.
- Fabricate simple metal parts and prepare materials used for interior installations.
- Use the material tracking system for part demands, squawk tracking, and work sign-off.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
