Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team at Just Plane Maintenance, Inc. in Dallas, Texas. This individual is someone who’s organized, resourceful, and ready to keep our shipping, receiving, inventory, tooling, and equipment operations running smoothly. In this role, you’ll work closely with vendors, internal teams, and our quality department to make sure aviation parts, tooling, equipment, and supplies move in and out of our facility accurately, efficiently, and safely.
You’ll be hands-on with operations, oversee shipping/receiving activities, manage tooling and equipment inventory, and keep our records in top shape—all while following FAA regulations and company policies.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee daily shipping, receiving, tooling, and equipment operations.
- Maintain an accurate, up-to-date inventory of all aviation parts, tooling, and equipment.
- Manage shipping/receiving.
- Inspect and ensure tooling and equipment are properly stored, maintained, and tracked for accuracy, certification, and traceability .
- Monitor inventory and tooling usage; coordinate with internal departments.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers.
- Resolve shipment issues such as delays, losses, or damaged goods.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and internal procedures.
- Handle special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Effectively utilize all internal systems to maximize efficiency.
What We’re Looking For:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (especially in a related field).
Experience:
- 5+ years in shipping, receiving, or logistics.
- Inventory control experience required.
- Aviation parts or tooling experience is a plus
- Comfortable using databases, PC software, and the internet.
Skills & Traits:
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Good with numbers and detail-oriented.
- Able to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
- Problem-solver with strong organizational skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent walking, bending, and use of stairs.
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
Work Environment:
- Full-time position in an office/warehouse/tooling facility setting.
- Regular interaction with team members, vendors, and management.
