As a Manufacturing Buyer/Planner, here is what you’ll be doing at the core, day to day.
• Ensure the timely acquisition of parts and materials needed to service customer aircraft by planning and forecasting part and material requirements.
• Coordinating acquisition with internal and external suppliers and materials personnel.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
• Ability to represent the department cross functionally
Here’s what is required to succeed as a Manufacturing Buyer/Planner.
• Typically, 3 years of experience in aviation or material/parts environment or other demonstrated equivalent experience.
• Planning and organizational skills necessary to prioritize and coordinate workload within a multiple project setting.
• Interpersonal skills necessary to develop and maintain effective working relationships with sales team, owners, outside counsel, and other departments.
• Typically, 1-year experience in inventory planning and procurement
• Training or equivalent experience with an MRP system.
• High Diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
• Continuous improvement program experience (preferred).
• Experience with Excel.
