Role Summary
* In this role, you will coordinate, track, and manage tools, equipment, consumables, and support materials required to maintain F/A-18 aircraft for a military aviation program. You will support the maintenance teams by ensuring tools and equipment are issued, inspected, tracked, and redistributed safely and efficiently in a high-tempo flight line environment. You will uphold operational readiness, compliance, safety standards, and accuracy in inventory and documentation while supporting daily aircraft maintenance operations. Education & Job Requirements
* AA degree in a related discipline and typically 3 or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Experience with tool maintenance and distribution.
* Experience or familiarity with electronic tracking systems.
* Experience with inventory or stock management.
* Ability to lift up to 15 lbs and stand, walk, or move around work areas.
* Ability to work with hazardous materials in a distribution capacity.
* Ability to obtain base access and meet all security requirements.
* U.S. Person status for export compliance.
* Availability to work fully onsite on a 4th-shift schedule (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM). Preferred Skills
* Aircraft maintenance experience. Job Duties / Functions
* Assess maintenance requirements and verify requests for tools, materials, and shop supplies.
* Coordinate with support organizations to resolve maintenance issues and mitigate schedule impacts.
* Investigate changes in maintenance requirements and recommend solutions to support operational needs.
* Analyze, procure, and oversee acquisition processes for tool services, products, and support equipment.
* Review inventory usage to optimize cost-effective resource allocation.
* Satisfy requirements for non-production materials, portable tools, perishable tools, and shop supplies.
* Analyze products using technical specifications, engineering definitions, and maintenance processes.
* Facilitate the acquisition of approved commodities using procurement systems.
* Review on-hand inventory and coordinate redistribution as required.
* Support planning for the removal of obsolete inventory.
* Prepare required reports to meet organizational and contractual obligations.
* Conduct beginning and end-of-shift inventories.
* Check tools, toolboxes, special equipment, and consumables in and out using electronic systems.
* Track calibrated equipment, monitor due dates, and coordinate repairs and recalibrations.
* Work directly with aircraft mechanics to support tool selection and distribution.
* Perform duties under limited supervision while ensuring full compliance with safety and quality requirements.
