Summary and Objective
The Aircraft Appearance Detailer is responsible for the overall appearance and general upkeep of both in the exterior and interior of the aircraft including but not limited to cleaning, washing, and stocking.

Wet wash aircraft

Wipe down aircraft

Clean aircraft, windshield and passenger windows as assigned (exterior)

Wash and or wipe down aircraft landing gear
-
Clean interior of aircraft following cleaning instructions, using appropriate cleaning supplies, including vacuuming of interior carpet and baggage area

Wipe down entry airstairs
-
Brush down flight instrument panel
-
Remove cabinet and closet supplies
-
Wipe inside all areas of drawers and cabinets to include removal of coffee/hot jegs with supplied cleaning materials

Check for briefing cards (bent or unreadable) and replace as needed or instructed

Replace beverages and food supplies as needed or instructed
-
Empty ice drawers on incoming flights and replace as needed or instructed
-
Rinse and wipe out coffee, water jugs, ice containers, and any other liquid containers after each occurrence.

Other duties as assigned
Skills and Abilities:

Ability to proficiently read, write, and speak English.

Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.

While performing the duties of this job, employees are frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibrations, and loud noise levels both inside and outside the hangar.

Possible exposure to a variety of extreme weather conditions.

Exposure to loud noises including airplane machinery and jet engines.
Physical demands

Must be able to stand, lie, and kneel in awkward positions and spaces.

Must be able to perform work on scaffolding or ladders.

Must be able to frequently lift and pull objects weighing up to 75 pounds

Manual dexterity and physical strength are necessary to operate tools and/or make adjustments and repairs.

Must have visual acuity to inspect equipment and identify defects.

The ability to stand or walk an entire shift (can be 8-12 hours)
