Summary
Provides Organizational- and Intermediate-level aircraft maintenance support on C-130 aircraft in accordance with the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP), applicable technical data, and federal contract requirements.
Senior-level powerplant mechanic supporting T-56 engines, propellers, fuel systems, APU systems, and related components.
Essential Functions
- Perform complex aircraft maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repair, and modification
- Document maintenance actions in aircraft logs and approved maintenance systems
- Lead and provide technical guidance to lower-level mechanics
- Ensure compliance with Tool Control, FOD, safety, and quality programs
- Perform other duties as assigned
Duties
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of T-56 engines, propellers, fuel systems, APU systems, and related components
- Support engine operational checks and inspections
- Document maintenance actions per NAMP requirements
Qualifications
- 6+ years powerplant maintenance experience
- 4+ years C-130, P-3 or similar powerplant maintenance experience
- Engine run qualification preferred
- Former CDI/CDQAR preferred
- Secret clearance required
Physical Requirements
Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation, including lifting up to 50 lbs., standing and walking for extended periods, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in confined or elevated spaces. Requires sufficient manual dexterity and vision to use tools and inspect aircraft systems. Must be able to work in high-noise environments, wear required PPE, and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
