Job Title: Aircraft Structural Mechanic
Position: F/A-18 E/F Structures Technician – San Antonio, TX
Job Description:
Join the elite team working on the F-18 program for the U.S. Navy in San Antonio, Texas—the central hub for Service Life Modification of F-18 aircraft. Be part of the cutting-edge Block 3 modifications, upgrading these aircraft to 5th generation fighters—the most advanced and tactical jets in the Navys inventory.
Responsibilities:
- Perform depot-level maintenance and heavy checks on aircraft.
- Execute equipment overhauls and structural modifications.
- Handle sheet-metal modifications and corrosion repairs.
- Install high locks and various structural components.
Skills Required:
- Expertise in aircraft modifications, especially F/A-18 E/F Super Hornets.
- Strong knowledge of structural mechanics and sheet-metal techniques.
- Experience addressing corrosion and working with high locks.
- Familiarity with military fixed-wing fighter jets is preferred.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5–7 years of recent experience performing depot-level maintenance on aircraft.
- Proven ability to complete equipment overhauls and modifications.
- Military aircraft or experience working on Boeing platforms is strongly preferred.
Compensation:
- Hourly Pay: $35–$40
- Tools provided by employer (no personal tools required).
Schedule:
- 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 5:30 AM–2:30 PM (overtime optional).
- 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM (overtime optional).
- Candidates must be open to working either shift.
Placement Details:
- 1-year contract-to-hire with opportunities for long-term employment.
- Must complete fingerprinting cards and interim paperwork prior to starting.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
