Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Assembly Mechanic to support the Quality team in Berkeley and Hazelwood, MO!
Position Responsibilities:
- Have the skills and knowledge to set up and standardize equipment, process parts, interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection, and document results.
- Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the technique and/or Method in which they are certified.
- Have the skills and knowledge to conduct system performance checks in accordance with the applicable process standard.
- Be familiar with the codes, standards, and other contractual specifications that control the Method used at their Site.
- Have a basic knowledge of relevant product manufacturing and inspection technology.
- Be capable of providing the necessary guidance and/or supervision to trainees and Level 1 personnel in the technique and/or method in which they are certified.
This position requires an Occupational Health Vision Exam.
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required
Basic Qualifications:
- NDT Level II Dye Penetrant Certification
- High School Diploma
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Ability to stand and walk throughout work, as well as carry and lift up to 35 pounds
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of Aircraft experience
- NDT Level II Magnetic Particle Certification
- Ability to become proficient with the principles and practices of the applicable test methods and techniques
- Proficiency with Computing Skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point

Once any required training has been completed all new employees will be considered on probation for a period of (120) calendar days. Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of the probationary period.
