Job Responsibilities
The Avionics Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient daily avionics-related maintenance of aircraft and assurance that all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations and policies as issued by management of the Company, airport authority, Federal Aviation Administration and other pertinent authorities.
Key duties include:
- Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
- Must adhere to all safety standards established by the Company and regulatory agencies.
- Perform avionics-related maintenance and alterations on customer aircraft as requested.
- Interact with customers, vendors, and Atlantic employees in a professional and courteous manner.
- Communicate work progress and significant issues to the Avionics Manager or other appropriate local management.
- Application of the principles of the “Atlantic Attitude” at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will:
- Maintain practices and procedures contributing to a safe, profitable, positive, and fun work environment.
- Ensure all avionics-related maintenance requests are served in a timely and efficient manner.
- Read wire prints, understand them, and create wire harnesses for installation into aircraft.
- Remove and reinstall aircraft interiors and components without damaging them.
- Follow directions, ask questions, and complete tasks as instructed.
- Crimp, solder, and splice in proper avionics fashion.
- Rely on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
- Operation of basic software.
- Perform additional duties as assigned such as taxi and run-up procedures.
- Any additional duties specific or unique to your location assigned by management.
Preferred candidates will:
- Possess a valid FAA issued Airframe & Powerplant Certificate.
Pay and Benefits:
This is a full-time day shift position working 40 hours per week Monday through Friday. We offer competitive pay rates based on experience. Premium pay available for overtime, call out services and on-call fees.
