The Compliance Officer ensures that all maintenance activities for non-jet general aviation aircraft adhere to regulatory requirements, manufacturer specifications, and company standards. This role focuses on researching aircraft records, building accurate and comprehensive aircraft records, conducting airworthiness directive research, reviewing manufacturer service bulletins, and providing maintenance compliance recommendations. The Compliance Officer oversees inspection preparation, quality control, and final checks to maintain airworthiness and regulatory compliance, acting as the primary liaison with aviation authorities.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation for regulatory inspections and audits by coordinating with maintenance teams, compiling required documentation, and ensuring all processes meet FAA, EASA, or equivalent standards.
- Oversee quality control processes by conducting thorough reviews of maintenance tasks, verifying adherence to regulatory and manufacturer guidelines, and ensuring work meets company quality standards.
- Perform final inspections of completed maintenance and repair work, approving documentation and completing detailed write-ups for maintenance records and logbooks to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Research historical aircraft records to verify maintenance history and compliance status; build and maintain accurate, up-to-date aircraft records for regulatory and client purposes.
- Monitor, research, and interpret airworthiness directives and manufacturer service bulletins to ensure timely implementation and compliance.
- Provide actionable recommendations to maintenance teams and management to address compliance gaps, incorporating airworthiness directives, service bulletins, and best practices.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with FAA, EASA, or other relevant regulations.
- Conduct regular internal audits of maintenance processes and documentation to verify regulatory adherence.
- Investigate compliance issues, document findings, and coordinate corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities during inspections, audits, or inquiries.
- Develop and deliver compliance-related training to maintenance staff to ensure awareness of regulatory and quality standards.
- Assist in updating company compliance and quality control policies to align with regulatory changes.
Essential Skills- In-depth knowledge of FAA regulations or equivalent regulatory frameworks.
- Familiarity with non-jet general aviation aircraft maintenance.
- Strong research skills for analyzing aircraft records, airworthiness directives, and service bulletins.
- Exceptional attention to detail for quality control, final checks, and documentation.
- Proficient in maintenance tracking software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with regulators, technicians, and management.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet regulatory deadlines.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and compliance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in aviation management, aeronautical engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in aviation maintenance or compliance.
- Experience with regulatory inspections, audits, or quality control is highly desirable.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lawrenceville, Georgia.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
