Mechanical Technician (Bilingual)
Location: Sainte-Anne-De-Bellevue, Quebec.

Job Description: Are you passionate about hands-on mechanical work and cutting-edge technology? As a Mechanical Technician, you’ll play a key role in assembling and modifying experimental test models and equipment based on detailed instructions or in collaboration with senior technicians and engineers.
In this role, you’ll:
- Install, test, repair, and maintain mechanical systems and subsystems
- Work on exciting prototypes and custom setups under the guidance of experienced team members
- Read and interpret complex technical drawings and schematics
- Record and analyze test results, contributing to innovative product development
- Support preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of high-performance equipment
- Estimate time and materials for new builds or maintenance tasks
- Recommend mechanical components for unique testing applications
- Assist with the programming and commissioning of automated equipment sequences using specialized software
- Ensure all work complies with internal standards and health & safety protocols
What You Bring
Core Skills & Qualifications:
- DEC or college diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a mechanical technician
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical assembly
- Proficient with mechanical tools (e.g., torque wrenches, Allen keys)
- Comfortable using computer systems (e.g., JTtoGo or equivalent)
- Fluent in both spoken and written French and English
- Detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Ability to interpret complex technical documentation and work with minimal supervision
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience assembling without technical drawings
- Familiarity with aerospace ground support equipment
- Experience in gearbox repair and assembly
- Previous experience in an R&D or prototyping environment

Work Environment
You’ll work in a pristine, climate-controlled cleanroom environment designed for high-tech manufacturing. This unionized setting offers a strong sense of structure and community, with a predominantly French-speaking team. For the weekend shift, you’ll be part of a small, focused crew working closely with one other technician. Cleanroom attire is required, including full-body covers, hairnets, and anti-static footwear to maintain the sterile and static-free workspace.
- Training Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Weekend Shift: Friday to Sunday, 7:00 AM – 6:30 PM

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $67875.00 - $80601.00/yr.
