We are seeking an experienced Licensed Inspector to support aircraft maintenance and quality assurance operations within a fast-paced aerospace environment. This position is responsible for inspecting aircraft, components, and completed maintenance work to ensure compliance with FAA regulations, customer requirements, and company quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and experience performing inspections within an MRO, heavy maintenance, or modification environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform inspections on aircraft, components, and completed maintenance work in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures
Conduct receiving, in-process, final, and return-to-service inspections
Review maintenance records, logbooks, work packages, and related documentation for accuracy and completeness
Verify maintenance tasks are completed in accordance with approved technical data and customer requirements
Identify, document, and communicate discrepancies or non-conformances
Ensure all work performed meets quality, safety, and regulatory standards
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, maintenance manuals, and technical data
Assist with audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives
Coordinate with technicians, production leads, and management to resolve inspection findings
Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation
Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements Minimum 1+ years of aviation, aerospace, manufacturing, or quality inspection experience preferred
Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License required
Previous experience as an aircraft inspector in an MRO, heavy maintenance, or aerospace environment preferred
Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, maintenance procedures, and quality standards
Experience reviewing aircraft maintenance documentation and records
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, and schematics
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Experience using precision measuring tools and inspection equipment preferred
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Basic computer proficiency required
Must be able to pass applicable background checks and drug screening
Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or various shifts based on operational needs
Miscellaneous The Inspector may delegate all duties to any qualified assistant as necessary. However, such delegation does not relieve him/her of the overall responsibility. The Inspector shall be properly certificated in accordance with 14 CFR Part 65, Subpart D or E, or will be supervised by someone properly certificated in accordance with 14 CFR Part 65, Subpart D or E
