What you can expect as a Satellite Manager at West Star Aviation:
This position will serve as the primary point of contact and manage all aspects of the satellite operation at the site. Some travel may be needed to meet or exceed customer, people, financial, quality and safety standards. Occasional attendance may be required for key industry events and/or customer outings.
You will be Essential to many FUNCTIONS including:
Oversee the development and ongoing management of PWK satellites operations including manpower staffing, customer relations and support, quality and safety.
Ensure on call / after-hours process is developed to ensure sufficient rotation of assignments between technicians along with customer support for pre/post flight checks and AOG situations.
Ensure adequate technician hiring, training and development of the team at the PWK satellite to ensure work is performed at the highest technical levels and in accordance with aircraft specific maintenance manuals, WSA standard operating procedures, repair station manuals, quality and safety standards.
Ensure aircraft schedules are developed from pre-planning to aircraft delivery and follow-up to support on time deliveries.
Communicate with Billing for the review and approval of final invoices.
Coordinate with Accounting, Quality, HR, IT and Purchasing for support out of the ALN location.
Oversee standard employee management duties such as performance and compensation reviews, on job training and development. Provide recommendations on all other employment matters such as hiring, disciplinary issues, promotions, and terminations.
Encourage and promote a safe work environment to include proper use of all PPE, operation of ground support equipment, aircraft systems and general housekeeping.

What you’ll need to bring with you:
Your Education:
Bachelors/ associate’s degree preferred OR comparable years of service managing people and/or 145 service center environments.
A&P License preferred.
Your Experience:
10 years of progressive aircraft maintenance or avionics experience in a part 145 service center environment along with 10 years of experience leading teams.
Have a fundamental understanding of financial reports / spreadsheets.
Strong knowledge of part 145 Federal Aviation Regulations.
Your Sense of Responsibility:
Unquestioned credibility, judgment, character, and ethics.
Attend work every day as scheduled to include overtime, travel, and weekend assignments.
Must perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.
Maintain customer-oriented work habits.
Direct the work and flow of multiple projects.

Physical Requirements
Routine walking, bending and squatting or sitting.
Routing or repetitive physical motion with arms and hands.
Basic personal computer operations, especially with Apple and Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
Mental Requirements
Strong interpersonal skills necessary to develop and maintain effective working relationships with employees, customers, and all levels of the WSA management team.
Ability to modify communication, tone, and presentation to defuse crisis situations with customers, employees and / or other departments and maintain mutually beneficial relationships.
Working Conditions
This work will be accomplished in both a hangar environment and office environment.
Varied positions in and around the aircraft.
Equipment Used
Computer operating with Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, Corridor (work orders) and scheduling programs.
Desk phones, cell phone and other office equipment.
Compensation & Benefit Information
The following information is disclosed according to state specific requirements. If the position applied to is not in a state with these requirements, the following information may not apply. The salary range for this position generally ranges between $104,395.00-$156,592.00. Actual rate will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package. Other forms of compensation include a semi-annual discretionary bonus, as well as medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), paid holidays and vacation time.
