Your Role
* You will play a key role in ensuring the safety, quality, and performance of commercial aircraft. You must bring technical expertise, precision, and a strong commitment to excellence while working collaboratively with your team. * Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
* Must have a minimum of 5 years of recent heavy commercial aircraft maintenance experience (not assembly).
* Must have experience on a combination of the following aircraft: B737, B737 MAX, B747, B757, B767, B777, B787, MD-11.
* Must have own tools.
* Must be available for shift work, overtime, and holidays as needed.
* Must demonstrate the ability to use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
* Must be able to read and interpret manuals such as AMM, SRM, and IPC.
* Must be able to identify HazMat risks and required PPE.
* Must be able to measure damage using machinist tools and record dimensions accurately.
* A&P, Airframe, or other specialized training preferred. Job Duties and Responsibilities
* Working knowledge or ability to acquire skills in the following:
* Will read and interpret Boeing and Airbus drawings and technical documentation.
* Will perform EWIS protection and remove, replace, or repair aircraft components using special tooling.
* Will work on components including wing planks, skins, door corners, spars, leading edges, seat tracks, floor beams, and frames.
* Will drill holes, attach brackets, hinges, braces, clips, and install panels.
* Will perform corrosion removal and allowable damage evaluation.
* Will use torque wrenches and calibrated measuring tools.
* Will follow oral and written instructions to complete routine and non-routine assignments.
* Will maintain and store tools in serviceable condition and adhere to safe maintenance practices.
* Will provide training and guidance for lower skill levels.
* Will complete any courses required by the Training Department.
* Will perform additional tasks as assigned by a supervisor. Required Skills
* You must demonstrate knowledge of documentation and task cards.
* You must perform flap peening and split sleeve cold working.
* You must execute repairs to wing planks, skins, door corners, beaded doublers, wing spars, leading edges, seat tracks, floor beams, and frames.
* You must locate, drill, and install panels and structural components.
* You must communicate effectively using strong oral and written skills. Physical Environment
* You must be able to move easily around various sections of the aircraft and have the dexterity to remove and replace parts efficiently.
* You must possess the mental skills and quickness to handle stress and perform under intense effort, typically caused by long working hours.
* You must be able to gain knowledge and follow instructions for your own safety due to the hazards involved.
* You must be able to stand for 90 of the workday on hard surfaces.
* You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
* You must report to work regularly and reliably.
