Job Description:

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
•    The Team Lead works closely with engineering, maintenance personnel, and management to ensure structural modifications are accomplished in accordance with approved engineering data, FAA regulations, and company procedures. This role serves as the primary point of coordination for structural projects and ensures all work is properly scheduled, documented, and completed to the highest standards of safety and quality.  

 


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Provides and supervises team personnel work assignments as well as guides, mentors and provides on-the-job instruction or training to the assigned team in related technical information job procedures, safety and general shop and hangar practices.
•    Read, understand and utilize blueprints, Structural Repair Manuals, ATA codes, illustrated parts catalogs, airworthiness directives, service bulletins and other maintenance documents and publications. 
•    Assumes supervision and control of the quantity and quality of work produced by their assigned team. Responsible for completing all assigned tasks within the allotted time frame. 
•    Demonstrates the analytical ability to perform all aspects of aircraft modification and repair of aircraft.
•    Demonstrates a high level of focus on quality and operational awareness.
•    Perform additional functions (essential or otherwise) as may be assigned from time to time.
•    Requires contact with staff and business relationships with management staff.
•    Promote and ensure safety within the workplace by monitoring others and yourself to guarantee all tasks are performed correctly and, in accordance with safety manual guidelines. Adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulations.

•    Ensure record of the inspections or modifications performed, squawks entered, repairs completed, and all required parts are ordered.

•    Ability and willingness to work flexible hours if required.

Job Requirements:

SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
•    High School Diploma/GED
•    Federal Aviation Administration Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License.
•    Intermediate to advanced experience with Aircraft Structures and Fabrication.
•    Must be able to communicate (oral, read, write) in English.
•    Intermediate to advanced level of skill is required.
•    Knowledge of FAA requirements for aircraft maintenance procedures.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
•    Talk and/or hear routinely throughout the day
•    Sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing and/or balancing all day. 
•    Use fingers and hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms.
•    Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, unassisted.
•    Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
•    Must be able to work in Hot/Cold – Indoor/Outdoor environments.
