Precision Welder – Build the Parts That Keep Aerospace FlyingCraft. Accuracy. Impact.PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to hire a highly skilled Welder who takes pride in precision workmanship. In this role, your hands-on expertise will directly support the fabrication, repair, and prototyping of critical aerospace components—where quality, safety, and accuracy matter every time.
This is a full-time, 6-month consulting opportunity based in Anaheim, California, offering steady hours, competitive pay, and the chance to contribute to innovative aerospace programs.
About the RoleAs a Welder, you will perform TIG welding and repair work on stainless steel and steel components, supporting both production and R&D initiatives. Approximately 50 of the role may involve prototype welding projects, making this an excellent opportunity for welders who enjoy variety, technical challenges, and collaboration with engineering teams.
What You’ll Do (Day-to-Day Responsibilities)Layout work requirements and gather equipment to perform repair and alteration welding operations
Perform TIG welding on stainless steel and steel components to required specifications
Inspect welds for bead size, quality, and compliance with drawings and specifications
Blend, grind, and polish welds to ensure minimum wall thickness and finish requirements are met
Work closely with Engineering on new R&D and prototype welding projects
Interpret and work from complex prints, drawings, redline changes, and process sheets
Measure parts using calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy
Fabricate, restore, and repair parts, including building up machined surfaces and repairing cracks
Complete production documentation and sign work orders identifying operations performed
Maintain and service welding equipment, identifying needs for repair or replacement
Assist other team members with process tryouts and special assignments
Perform physical tasks including bending, reaching, pulling, and pushing
Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent
Welding Certificate – Level 1 GTAW (Stainless Steel), required
2+ years of TIG welding experience with stainless steel and steel
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings (paper and digital)
Proficiency using precision measuring instruments
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Preferred QualificationsManufacturing or aerospace/aviation industry experience
Associate’s Degree in Welding
Experience working with R&D or prototype welding projects
Familiarity with aerospace quality and documentation standards
