What You Will Do:

Join Pratt & Whitney and play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive contract management support to our dynamic Military Engines programs. Were seeking a highly motivated individual to thrive in a high-visibility, fast-paced, and exciting environment.

As a Contracts Manager, you will be empowered to think strategically and offer insightful guidance on intricate contractual and programmatic challenges. This role demands significant interpersonal engagement with Program Managers and Business Managers across the organization. Furthermore, you will cultivate strong working relationships with our US Government customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Lifecycle Management: Oversee the drafting, review, negotiation, and administration of prime contracts with the U.S. Government, ensuring adherence to all applicable regulations (FAR).

  • Problem Solving & Compliance: Proactively identify and resolve complex contractual and programmatic challenges, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies.

  • Customer Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for both external and internal customers, addressing contract-related inquiries, providing clear interpretations of contract requirements, and fostering strong, collaborative relationships.

  • Proposal Development: Support the development of competitive and compliant proposals.

  • Contract Interpretation: Serve as the subject matter expert on contract interpretation and requirements.

  • Process Improvement: Utilize CORE process improvement tools to enhance contract management efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Must be willing to travel up to 10

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelors degree

  • Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience or 6 with advanced degree

  • 2+ years of U.S. Government contract management experience.

  • Demonstrated expertise in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and U.S. Government procurement processes.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements  

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Strong document drafting skills.

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or Masters degree.

  • Experience with international contracting.

  • Knowledge of aerospace business and legal issues.

This position is:

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
