Position Summary
Position Summary:
Assists the Sr. Corporate Accounting Manager with preparation of financial information for management and shareholders. Key resource in the monthly consolidation of over 500 reporting units in accordance with Parker policy and US GAAP. Assists Corporate Accounting & Reporting team and global cross-functional teams on simplification initiatives and changes to financial reporting requirements. Assists with the administration and utilization of SAP Financial Consolidation.

Works closely with the Corporate Accounting & Reporting team on the reporting for unique transactions that may include acquisitions and divestitures. With assistance from, and in coordination with department leadership, administers the SAP Financial Consolidation system Actual category. Works with the Corporate Accounting & Reporting team to ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements. Leads and manages the Assistant Accounting & Consolidation Systems Manager. Regularly interfaces with corporate officers, functional departments, and global group and division management.
Essential Functions:
- Assist with the timely and accurate preparation and reporting of the Consolidated Balance Sheet and Inventory/DSI report.
- Assist in the timely and accurate preparation of the Consolidated Statement of Cash Flows and Sales, DNE and Adjusted DNE statements.
- Assist in the timely and accurate preparation of additional financial information required by management.
- Responsible for the accounting for Parker Royalty Partnership.
- Assist with the monthly SAP Financial Consolidation closing process.
- With guidance from and in coordination with Corporate IT and other leaders within Corporate Accounting & Reporting, prepares significant portions of the SAP Financial Consolidation system that includes system upgrades, hierarchy changes, account changes and implementation of changing US GAAP requirements.
- Prepare or review of the recording of corporate ledger and consolidation system journal entries in accordance with US GAAP.
- Work closely with global reporting units to identify reporting errors and coordinate correcting entries.
- Work with global finance teams to complete the accounting for unique transactions including acquisitions, divestitures and treasury activities.
- Provide support to other corporate functions including, but not limited to, Tax, FIMA, Investor Relations, Treasury, Risk Management, Central Accounting, Internal Audit, Business Planning, Legal, Marketing, Credit, Supply Chain, Total Rewards and IT.
- Assists with managing and maintaining the Corporate Chart of Accounts to maintain compliance with US GAAP and internal reporting requirements.
- Assists with the maintenance of a compliant, effective and efficient control environment.
- Work with department and global cross-functional teams to identify and implement new systems and technologies that benefit business process.
- Provide information and support for management and various global departments, groups and divisions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree (BS/BA) in Accounting or equivalent degree.
- A minimum of seven years of consolidation, external reporting or financial accounting experience with a global manufacturing company.
- Experience which demonstrates ability to assume increasing levels of responsibility.
- Ability to work and lead in a team environment with demonstrative problem solving ability.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of financial systems, with SAP Financial Consolidation preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines in an environment requiring the balancing of competing priorities and frequent, unplanned requests.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
