Synopsis
To support and manage Etihad Airways internal events and communications. This includes creating proposals, planning, managing, and executing events. The role involves developing and managing communication materials required for events, facilitating transparent two-way communication between management and staff, and ensuring that internal communications are strategically aligned with the vision, mission, and values of the organisation.
Accountabilities
- Plan internal events from start to finish according to requirements, target audience and objectives.
- Design various event proposals for all requests and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure requirements are met.
- Communicate, maintain, and develop stakeholder relationships to ensure excellent customer service, quality delivery, and adherence to deadlines and event budgets.
- Manage supplier relations oversee Etihad’s supplier repository.
- Manage the production of materials for internal events, including presentations, standalone messages, intranet content, and digital signage.
- Effectively manage internal relationships with stakeholders, from executive level to departmental content owners.
- Support corporate emergency procedures during disruption as required.
Education & Experience
- Higher Education degree or event management qualification.
- At least 7 years of experience in communications or event management.
- Proficiency in English writing and proofreading, with the ability to write quickly, under pressure, and to a high standard.
- In-depth understanding and experience with various communication channels.
- Strong negotiation skills, along with excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Creative with a keen eye for aesthetics and attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office, with the highest standards of presentation and administrative skills.
- Flexibility: the nature of the department’s work may require working extra hours, including unsociable hours, with little or no notice.
