Job Description:
This Senior Quality Compliance Manager at GE Aviation Materials, Inc. (GEAM) will provide tactical leadership to proactively drive Quality Initiatives related to GEAM’s priorities. The person in this role will drive tactical initiatives: standardization of Quality Operating Procedures (QOPs), leading Corrective Action (CA) efforts with the use of FLIGHTDECK (Continuous Improvement) behaviors and principals, leading Supplier Audits to ensure compliance to GE policies and procedures, and ensuring alignment between internal policies and procedures to mandatory regulations, maintaining compliance across GEAM process.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage GEAM’s Quality Manual, associated Quality Operating Procedures, and system-related documentation, ensuring compliance to ISO 9001, ASA-100, and GE Aerospace Policies and Procedures.
  • Organize and perform global training sessions related to Quality Management System (QMS) documentation.
  • Leads internal audits, and third-party audits; completes self-audit checklists, liaison between auditors and GEAM, and compiles audit reports.
  • Oversees and manages GEAMs Corrective Action Requests (CARs) system as a result of product nonconformance(s) or process noncompliance(s).
  • Performs all Know Your Customer (KYC) and Know Your Supplier (KYS) quality validations to support onboarding of GEAM suppliers and vendors.
  • Drive quality for assigned GEAM suppliers, including performing onsite supplier audits for GEAM, ensuring compliance, and driving performance improvement plans (where needed).
  • Assist in tracking, supporting, and verifying CARs for internal and external audit nonconformance(s) are driven to closure.
  • Drive Quality Operational excellence through assured performance to site level Key Process Indicators (KPIs) and daily management.
  • Travel Requirement(s): up to 10.
  • On-site position (Monday - Friday); not hybrid or remote position.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and 5+ years of quality assurance and regulatory compliance experience (or a minimum high school diploma / GED with an additional 4+ years of quality assurance and regulatory compliance experience).

Desired Characteristics:

  • Requires strong foundation of functional skills and knowledge of Quality Systems execution and auditing processes.
  • Experience in data analytics and Lean methodologies preferred.
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to type certification of turbine engines, particularly Part 145 MRO airworthiness standards and FAA orders and guidance material pertaining to certification and continued airworthiness
  • Aviation / Aerospace industry experience is a plus.
  • Proven Leader in driving continuous improvement, knowledge of GE Aerospace’s FLIGTHTDECK is a plus.
  • ASQ Certifications (CMQ/OE, CQE, CQA, etc.) is a plus.
