System Center Service Manager Administrator

Job Description:

DPP is seeking a System Center Service Manager Administrator for a project in Columbia, SC.

Work location: Onsite in Columbia, SC
Duration: 12 months, with the possibility of extension
Terms: W2 position
Candidate location: Candidates must be an SC resident or willing to relocate to SC prior to start

Position description:

The System Center Service Manager (SCSM) Administrator is responsible for meeting with business units and managing, maintenance, and intake of new and existing System Center Service Manager requests.
The primary focus of this role is maintaining System Center infrastructure and intaking new requests into Service Manager, working in the Cireson Web Portal and developing workflows in System Center Orchestrator.

Minimum requirements:

Bachelor’s degree and/or 5 years of recent related work experience
3+ years of working in a development role supporting Microsoft System Center Service Manager.
Candidate needs to be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of services and features, site design, and best practices.

Preferred:

MS Server Admin-related certifications
Working knowledge of Cireson web portal for Service Manager
Working knowledge of System Center Orchestrator

Essential responsibilities:

The Service Manager Engineer will report to the Agency Bureau Chief of Information Technology Services. They will work with Agency business units to collect and develop requirements for System Center Service Manager request and service offerings. The position is focused on administration and creation of new requests.
Work with System Center Orchestrator. Create new orchestrator workflows, maintaining, and updating workflows.
Work with Cireson. Maintain and update software and work with vendor to fulfill service requests. Updating JavaScript for service request offerings.
Maintain, update, patch Service Manager, Orchestrator, and Cireson.
Develop Reporting on Service Manager Usage.
Interact with staff, other team members, all levels of management and internal and external organizations, including vendors performing outsourced work, in the compilation and management of information needed for Service Manager request offerings.
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and/or Point of Contact (POC) for developing and managing processes related to the Service Manager environment and make recommendations on specific improvements in efficiency, effectiveness, report template and structure, and productivity to leadership.
Some after-hours project and platform support will be expected.
