Summary:
Under moderate supervision, perform composite part manufacturing functions - including lay-up, cutting, bagging, autoclave, trimming, and/or repair - in a production environment
Manufacture a variety of composite aircraft parts to meet manufacturing specifications in a team-oriented environment
Meet the requirements of the Manufacturing Competencies at the appropriate level in the Employee Effectiveness Review
Read work orders, blueprints, lofts, sketches, and operation sheets to determine the sequence of operations
Use special tools and precision measuring devices (e.g., 6" scale, 1" micrometer, 6" dial caliper)
Inspect all work and ensure defect-free assemblies prior to inspection
Maintain and properly use logs and records (MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs, DR/DI, etc.)
Maintain a neat and orderly work area; support company FOD and 5S programs; comply with all safety regulations
Support Lean activities
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
Two (2) years of related composite experience
Ability to work with composite resins and materials
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Ability to read and interpret a 6" scale
Basic computer skills
Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position
Must be able to work any shift
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
