Location: Smithfield, PA Type: Full-Time Consultant (6 Months)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM Pay: $26.06–$28.15/hr
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking detail-driven Assemblers to support operations in Smithfield, PA. If you have a passion for precision, hands-on work, and contributing to mission-critical aerospace programs, this is your opportunity to assemble the future—one wire harness or panel at a time.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
About the Role:As an Assembler, you will build intricate electrical wiring harnesses and electro-mechanical sub-assemblies for multiple aerospace platforms. This role is critical to supporting the integrity and performance of flight-ready systems, ensuring safety and reliability from the ground up.
What You’ll Do:Assemble structural and mechanical sub-systems using detailed schematics and blueprints
Fabricate and wire electrical components, panels, and box circuit breakers
Use precision measuring tools to ensure exact specifications are met
Adapt to evolving production schedules while maintaining a quality- and safety-first mindset
Interpret engineering drawings and incorporate design changes as needed
Collaborate with team members to improve processes and ensure on-time delivery
Travel may be required to support operations at other facilities
What You Bring:Required:
High school diploma or GED
1+ years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, or engineering drawings
1+ years of experience with precision measurement tools
1+ years of hands-on fabrication or assembly of mechanical/electrical systems
Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing production demands
Commitment to safety, quality, and manufacturing excellence
Preferred:
Experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing
IPC-620 and/or J-STD-001 certification (not required but a plus)
Familiarity with FOD prevention, ESD handling, and clean room/shop standards
Understanding of materials properties and basic machine shop processes

Pay Details: $26.06 to $28.15 per hour
