Role Summary
* In this role, you will perform fabrication, assembly, machining, welding, electrical, and composite manufacturing tasks in support of man-rated spaceflight hardware. You will work from established drawings and requirements to build, assemble, test, and modify components of limited complexity while maintaining strict safety, quality, and foreign object debris control standards. Education & Job Requirements
* You must have
* A High School Diploma or GED.
* A minimum of 1 year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Mechanical aptitude with strong hands-on skills using tools, fixtures, and mechanical systems.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering 2D drawings and 3D CAD models.
* Relevant mechanical or electrical experience in foreign-object-debris sensitive environments such as automotive, military, aerospace, or similar industries.
* U.S. Person status required for export compliance purposes. Preferred Skills
* You will have
* Military service experience demonstrating discipline and familiarity with structured, safety-critical environments.
* A minimum of 3 years of experience in fabrication, assembly, or electrical instrumentation.
* Experience performing soldering, riveting, welding, sheet metal work, or wiring integration.
* Strong communication skills and experience working in fast-paced, cross-functional project teams. Job Duties & Functions
* You will be able
* Perform machine setup, machining, welding setup, welding, sheet metal fabrication, extrusion, and tube bending operations.
* Perform composite lay-up, fabrication, and assembly tasks.
* Assemble precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components.
* Assemble, repair, modify, and install power plants and drive train systems.
* Perform soldering on electronic and avionics products.
* Assemble and install wire harnesses and avionics products.
* Prepare test articles, fixtures, and data collection devices to support testing activities.
* Perform basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation tasks.
* Apply routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements.
* Work in safety-critical and foreign-object-debris sensitive environments while maintaining clean-as-you-go discipline.
* Operate in controlled work areas with precision cleanliness requirements.
* Read and follow specifications, process documents, and engineering documentation.
* Build prototypes and small production runs and perform fit checks, functional testing, and troubleshooting.
* Maintain part, process, and test documentation and report identified nonconformances.
* Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and project leads to resolve design or manufacturability issues.
* Participate in foreign object debris walks, 5S activities, and tool control procedures.
* Perform work in an AS9100-certified production environment.
* Use calibrated precision measuring devices as required. Physical Requirements

* Stand for extended periods of time.
* Bend, stoop, and perform work at floor or bench level.
* Use step ladders up to 3 to 4 steps in height.
* Work on platforms, mobile equipment, and in confined spaces as required.
