As a Plastic Extrusion Manufacturing Engineer II, youll contribute to meaningful projects that shape the future of aerospace.

This position contributes to our vision by:
tDrive an overall improvement of our extrusion processes: increased safety, increased quality, reduced scrap.
tConceive and develop new cost-effective manufacturing concepts using lean methodologies.
tEngage maintenance personnel in resolving process and equipment problems using systematic methods of troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and irreversible corrective action implementation.
tParticipate and provide technical expertise our manufacturing floor including Extrusion, Secondary ops, and assembly.
tDrive our processes to meet customer cost and quality requirements.
tLead flawless launches of new product activities through active participation in FMEA, PFD, part and tool design reviews, Kaisen and other cross-functional team events.
tMentor extrusion technicians and engage maintenance personnel in resolving, tooling and equipment problems using systematic methods of troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and irreversible corrective action implantation.
tResponsible for setting up and generating programs for new products.
tInterfaces with product engineering, manufacturing leadership, and support teams to meet business unit goals;
tSupports standardization initiatives across business units;
tCoordinates with engineering team to implement company engineering strategies;
tOther duties may be assigned.

Job Requirements:

\tRequires Bachelor's degree in Engineering
\tRequires 3-5 years experience in manufacturing and/or quality processes with focus in plastic extrusion.
\tBlueprint and schematics reading - Advanced
\tProblem Solving, root cause analysis and corrective action - Advanced
\tCapable of managing large amounts of data and tasks – Basic
\tAbility to build strategic working relationships at all levels of the organization – Basic
\tKnowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) methodologies and tools - Advanced
\tAbility to understand flow diagrams, PFEMA, and control plans – Advanced
