CBA Janitor (Hangar)- T45 Kingsville, TX

Job Description:

Essential Duties and Accountabilities: Maintain cleanliness of aircraft hangars, restrooms, work spaces and outside areas as assigned. Sweep, mop, operate mobile deck scrubber (Zamboni), strip floors, wax, buff and empty trashcans as assigned. In depth cleaning of restrooms, including, but not limited, to urinals, commodes, walls, mirrors, sinks, floors, etc. Moves and/or relocates furniture. Maintain records and inventory of cleaning supplies and prepared lists of supplies to be purchased. Uses cleaning equipment including Zamboni, electric buffers, mops, large wringers, and other necessary equipment, tools, chemicals and supplies. Issues/distributes hand soap, paper towels and toilet paper. Performs other related duties. Deals with the customer in courteous, professional and effective manner. Complies with Foreign Object Damage (FOD), Hazardous Waste and Tool Control Programs. Complies with all established general and industrial safety rules and regulations as applicable to the contract, facility and job assignment. Assists as directed to ensure safety, security and preservation of Government/Company Owned equipment. Must be able to work well under minimal supervision.

Job Requirements:

Qualification Standards:

Must have a minimum of high school diploma. Two (2) years experience in janitorial services. Experience with a variety of cleaning chemicals. Ability to stand and walk for long periods. One Must be able to meet any Government/Company licensing/qualification requirements for the position. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must have valid state driver's license.

Physical Demands:

This classification activity is usually accomplished in a warehouse environment and as such requires the scope of physical movements and postures normally associated with warehousing activities. May be required to lift objects whose weight normally will not exceed 50 pounds. Special vision abilities required to perform this job are close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.

Work Environment:

The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, to an environment where inclement weather may subject individual to severe changes of temperature, wind, rain, etc. May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. May be exposed to electrical shock hazards.

Licensing/Certification Requirements:

Formal or Specialized Training or Equivalent
Hazardous Communication Training
FOD and TCP Awareness Trained
Security Clearance Awareness Training
Valid States Drivers License (upon hire)
Operational Risk Management (ORM) Training
Zamboni Certified
