What Youll Get to DoThe Crew Scheduling Coordinator will be responsible to oversee and maintain both daily and weekly operations which pertain to the Flight Crew member’s schedules. The Crew Scheduling Coordinator, in conjunction with Calm Air’s SOCC team, will be responsible for making effective scheduling recovery plans, during irregular operations based off Flight Crew members schedules, collective agreements, Company policies and CAR’s regulations.Maintain all Flight Crew members schedules in VMO against daily operationsProvide clear, effective, and timely communication to all Flight Crew members as it relates to scheduling and/or rescheduling of recovery plans due to irregular operations (Deadhead travel, hotel bookings, Crew House bookings, car rental bookings) and company flight schedule changes including crew call offs/insResponsible for covering and maintaining all Flight Crew membersNotify the Crew Scheduling Supervisor of any Crew Member attendance issuesResponsible for the monitoring, investigating, and executing recovery plans of all Crew Members violation / regulation breaksIn conjunction with Flight Ops Managers, maintain the Ground School matrixResponsible for approving all Crew Members per diems and monthly expensesResponsible for the approval of department purchase orders, incoming invoices, and credit card statementInterpret and administer ALPA/CUPE collective agreementsPromote occupational health and safety within the department, and participate in the development and monitoring of safety trainingProactively communicate hazards and SMS initiatives with the departmentEmbark on employment equity initiatives Engaging with all employees to promote employment equity and encouraging employees to undertake the self-declaration survey updating as necessary All levels of the organization share responsibility for human rights within the organizationOverseeing and promoting continuous improvement on human rights and employment equity initiativesOther duties as assignedSkills & Experience We Value High school diploma or general education degree (GED)Post-secondary education in related field considered an assetComputer skills (MS Office) with emphasis on ExcelAbility to effectively communicate orally and writtenAbility to maintain a high level of accuracyFamiliarity with VMO, Great Plains, and Amelia considered an assetAbility to manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team environmentExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsExcellent organizational skillsPrevious aviation experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including plain language with an ability to express ideas, concepts and recommendations to diverse audiences in a variety of channelsObtain and maintain all required enhanced security clearancesInuktitut language considered an assetPreference will be given to Inuit Land Claims Beneficiaries
