Air Inuit has been providing essential scheduled, chartered, cargo and emergency air transport services to Nunavik and beyond- 24 hours a day, 365 days a year - for over 42 years. Collectively owned by the Inuit of Nunavik, through Makivik Corporation, the airline operates a fleet of 30 aircraft and employs approximately 1000 employees in one of the world’s most challenging flight environments.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Contributes to the sustainability of the technological park via technical assistance to employees when using IT tools and communicating good user practices.

As an IT Expert Technical Support Technician, you will provide advanced troubleshooting, deep analysis to resolve complex problems, strong technical expertise, and a customer-focused mindset to ensure high-quality service delivery to internal users. IT Expert Technical Support Technician provides Tier 2/3 support including mentoring of all team members. Create and maintain detailed documentation, knowledge bases, and training materials.

This role contributes to the sustainability of the IT helpdesk team by promoting best practices, driving continuous improvement in support processes.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide advanced technical support and guidance for escalated issues.
  • Participate in infrastructure upgrade projects, including deployments in northern Quebec.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and knowledge base articles.
  • Mentor and coach Level 1, 2, and 3 technicians to foster skill development.
  • Analyze recurring issues and propose long-term solutions.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with IT polices and standards.
  • Participate in occasional travel to Nunavik as required


QUALIFICATIONS


  • Diplôme collégial ou universitaire en informatique ou dans un domaine connexe.
  • Minimum de 10 - 15 ans d’expérience pertinente en soutien informatique, dont au moins 5 ans dans un rôle senior ou expert.
  • Solide connaissance technique de:
    • Environnements Microsoft Windows, Office et macOS
    • Microsoft 365
    • Internet, matériel et logiciels
    • Outils de soutien à distance
  • Excellentes compétences en communication en français et en anglais (oral et écrit).
  • Fortes aptitudes en leadership, organisation, résolution de problèmes et pensée analytique.
  • Souci du détail avec une approche proactive de l’apprentissage et de l’amélioration.
  • Capacité à travailler sous pression et à gérer plusieurs priorités.
  • Volonté de voyager au Québec, y compris au Nunavik.
