The Inspection Technician II – 2nd Shift is responsible for the inspection of incoming supplier products and/or internal manufactured assemblies against drawing and workmanship requirements.
What You Will Do:
Receiving Inspection and/or Production Inspection of multiple products and/or commodities
Perform product inspection tasks per Inspection Procedures
Perform inspection of special process parts
Document inspection activities on appropriate inspection records
Record Inspection results via SAP Transactions
Make decisions regarding product acceptance per product design documentation and company workmanship criteria
Document product or paperwork non-conformances per company procedures
Support Internal and Customer Audits
Prioritize product inspection per production schedule needs.
Understand & interpret design data (Drawings, Bills of Material, etc.)
Use proper inspection methods & equipment (Inspection hand tools, surface plate, etc.)
Expand scope of responsibility by supporting multiple product lines and/or commodities
Answer quality & inspection questions
Maintain applicable skills, knowledge, & certifications as required.
Miscellaneous duties as required (ACE etc.)
Create and update Inspection Procedures
Complete training and Issue FAA 8130 Tags if required.
Adhere to QMS policies, understand Quality Documents and be able to access.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically, a HS diploma with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 3 years of relevant experience is required.

Qualifications We Prefer:
A minimum one year of inspection experience or two years production experience
Previous experience interpreting schematics and/or technical drawings
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Previous experience interfacing with multiple functions, providing accuracy and attention to detail in all work, and using computers and SAP software

The salary range for this role is $38,841 - $72,849. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
