Arconic is currently in search of a Laboratory Coordinator to join our team in Davenport, IA.

The Laboratory Coordinator will coordinate and disposition lot release and generate/validate material certifications and work as a direct connection between the Supply change Management and Quality departments.
In this role, you will:
- Be responsible for sample flow through the Lab including input and oversight of LIMS (Lab Information Management System) control information (i.e. furnace practices, set points, etc.)
- Input, evaluate and validate Lab test results. Disposition material based on properties.
- Generate material test certifications which includes reviewing all results to verify they are within specification.
- Coordinate material flow through the Lab in conjunction with Supply Chain Management.
- Serve as expert on WebCert application with the ability to problem solve the web-based application.
- Interpret and validate of material tests to include material test curves, process data and specification compliance.
- Disposition lot release testing for all products ran through the Lab (mechanical properties, chem tests, Met Lab).
- Coordinate new product development testing within Lab and establish special process testing and certification.
- Recertification of material based on original product testing and application of salvage material.
- Coordination of shipment with SCM Traffic group.
Also note:
- While this position in generally Monday - Friday, some weekend coverage is required.
You have:
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience related to Lab processing, order planning, order entry, or other detail-oriented data processing / analyzing activities.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
