We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. The role involves verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against records and ensuring that all shipments meet requirements. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining inventory of shipping materials and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Compare identifying information and counts, weights, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
• Determine method of shipment.
• Affix shipping labels on packed cartons or stencil identifying shipping information on cartons.
• Assemble wooden or cardboard containers or select preassembled containers.
• Nail covers on wooden crates and bind containers with metal tape; stamp, stencil, or glue identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.
• Post weights and shipping charges, and affix postage.
• Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet requirements.
• Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Operate fork truck, tier lift truck or use hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.

• Experience in inventory control and logistics.
• Knowledge and ability to use bills of lading, invoices, and orders.
• Proficiency in Epicor software, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Problem-solving skills to deal with concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Must meet Export Control compliance requirements, defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 as a US Person.

Work Environment

Work in a large state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in teams of two working cells. Dress code is business casual. Training will occur during the first shift from 6 AM to 2:30 PM for 2 weeks up to a month. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday with potential overtime and Saturday shifts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
